Youth Development Associate/Specialist
Youth Development Associates and Specialists provide a continuum of intervention, supervision, and rehabilitation programs to youth offenders while assuring public safety.
Principal Duties
- Mentor, oversee and work closely with high risk/violent youth offenders
- Writes court reports, parole summaries, treatment plans, and supervision standards
- Schedule and provide supervision of individual and group activities
- Implement specialized treatment plans

Technician II
A Juvenile Justice Technician works to change young lives, support families, and keep communities safe in the following environments
Principal Duties
- Work closely with youth ordered into the care and custody of JJYS
- Monitor visitors and residents within the facility
- Assist the control supervisor by making perimeter checks
- Resolve potentially dangerous situations to ensure the safety of staff, clients, and or the public by applying appropriate intervention techniques to people, facilities and property

Technician I
A Juvenile Justice Technician works to change young lives, support families, and keep communities safe in the following environments
Principal Duties
- Works under moderate supervision with delinquent adolescents in short and long term secure confinement, observation, and assessment settings, in multi-use facilities or community based programs.
- Monitor visitors and residents within the facility
- Assist the control supervisor by making perimeter checks
- Resolve potentially dangerous situations to ensure the safety of staff, clients, and or the public by applying appropriate intervention techniques to people, facilities and property
